Our Bangkok Trip

Many people were too afraid to go Bangkok this period, but we, the die-hard-Bangkok-shoppers, still went ahead with our plans. Good thing we went! Nothing happened (thank goodness) and we are back safe and sound.

Spent a lot of clothes...for myself, En en and the little boy, of course daddy also added a few new items to his closet. The main bulk belonged to the kids, especially our little princess. All the clothes were so nice and cheap!!

My mother-in-law, the ultimate bargainer, managed to buy a cute bumpy dress, which was selling at 180 baht, at only 100 baht. It was really cute, red and white checkers, with singlet inside and vest-like design outside, attached to pong-pong skirt. My mother-in-law changed En en into that little dress immediately!

Reyanne was generally excited about the shopping trip. Though she tend to sa-jiao at times, especially when we just stepped into big shopping centres, she would always tell me she wants to sleep! Oh my goodness!! How to carry her around and shop at the same time?

Clever mummy made used of the security guards walking around the shopping centres. I told her they are policemen who were looking for children who didn't walk on their own. She got quite frightened and became willing to walk on her own.

However, Ryan tend to fall asleep in his carrier when we were shopping. I guess he had nothing to play with and became bored inside the carrier. That's why when we were back in hotel room, he would be wide awake because it was then that he could be released and play!

I bought 1 purse, 3 bags, 8 pairs of shoes, 3 pairs of slippers, 4 pairs of socks, 3 skirts, 2 pants, 7 tops, 3 sets of pyjamas and some hair accessories. :) But I think I could have achieved more if I don't need to bring the kids back to hotel for their nap. Hahaha :p Oh well, I guess I need to sacrifice something when there are kids around.

Concert 2008 @ Carpe Diem - Finale

That's the finale for the K2 Graduation Concert @ Carpe Diem Groups. At least, she wasn't crying at that time. See how the rest of the children enjoy themselves.

Magician-To-Be

She tried to make that balloon 'disappear' by hiding it under her armpit. Wonder how on earth did she think of this! Anyway, we had a great laugh over it.

Ryan learns to clap!

Thanks to Reyanne's pull-up hat... Ryan was so amused that he started clapping!! :P That was on 17 Nov, one day before he turned 10-months old.

19 Nov, he managed to say 'PAPA', with the help of some exaggerated mouth action. :p

Yesterday, 1 Dec, he suddenly said 'aye-aye' when Priscilla Auntie said 'Byebye' to him. He also tried to move his fingers to say Byebye... :p

Concert 2008 @ Carpe Diem

Grandpa sponsored for Reyanne's 1st concert.
$18 per ticket for first 2.
$16 for additional ticket.
$35 for costume.
$22 for DVD.

Yes, teachers did a wonderful job teaching her how to dance and dolling her up for that day.
HOWEVER... Our little Miss Lee cried on stage, looking for mummy! *fainted*
She stood rooted to the ground while most of her other friends were happily dancing away.

Gugu's Birthday Celebration

Yesterday, the whole family, including Gonggong, Popo, Gugu and Michelle Ah-yi went out for lunch to have a belated celebration for Gugu's birthday. Our initial plan was to go to Crystal Jade, but there was a long queue. We made our way to Soup Restaurant at Century Square instead. We ordered chef-recommendations. Reyanne loved the Teochew Olive Fried Rice so much so that she ate 4 small bowls in all! That was equavalent to 2 adult bowls! Gugu, Ah-yi and I had to keep our share for her in case she wants more, and true enough, she asked for more!!

Well, it's not that surprising to me at least... she started to like Olive Vegetables when we ate plain porridge, even though she usually pushes away any food that is black or dark-coloured. She has always preferred rice to noodles. So Rice + Olive Veg = Yummy lunch!

At night, Reyanne was also excited about cutting the cake. Auntie Michelle told her if she said, "Happy Birthday" to Gugu every weekend, she will get to eat a cake every Sunday. Haha...now I am worried if Gugu and Auntie can keep their promise! Kids have elephant memories...so they said.

When it was time for cake-cutting, Gugu is requested to change into something nicer. Reyanne said, " I want Gugu Pink Pink!"(which is her favourite colour)... so Gugu who is ever-cooperative with her, went to dig out his Pink T-shirt! Haha...thank you Gugu!

Everyone enjoyed the Black Forest with Chocolate flake cake... Happy Birthday Gugu!

Ryan walks his first 2 steps!

Last Friday, little Ryan took his first two steps! Haha... He is faster than Reyanne in almost everything. Flipped at 3 months plus, crawled at 4 months, started standing at 6 months, making his way around with support of furniture at 8 months, now he can stand up on his own (still not as stable though) and take 2 steps at 9 months plus!

Let me recall Reyanne's... she flipped at 4 months, started crawling at 6 months and only tried to stand up at 11 months...started walking slightly after 12 months! So that's what everybody says, "Boys are boys."

True.

So...what is Ryan going to do at 1-year-old ? Fly ??

Yesterday, Ryan had stomach flu. This poor boy had fever in the morning and started having diarrhea...till now, 8 times in all. Luckily the clinic was opened till 11pm on Sundays. Ryan poo-ed till his butt was a bit redder, so he cried whenever he was being washed. Hopefully, he will recover by today.

Teacher Reyanne is back for outdoor learning! I happened to have the video-cam in my bag when I went to pick En En up that day, so I took the clip. Unfortunately, didn't realise I cannot rotate video clip like a jpeg file, or rather I don't know how. :P

Ryan's way of eating fruit

This clip was taken sometime back, but I don't have time to edit and upload. Showing how little Ryan eats his fruit... :P

Money is shopping

En en still doesn't really understand where money comes from I guess. Here is a clip showing her funny answers when we asked her where her money is.

Ryan WAVES

I thought I would be able to update this blog more often. But, I have too much work recently. Anyway, I finally find some time to update something interesting. Last Sunday night, when we were leaving Gong Gong's house, Po Po, who was carrying the little explorer - Ryan Lee, asked him to wave byebye to Dian-jie-jie. To our surprise, he managed to raise his hand up high... haha. Though he did not really WAVE...we can see he has learnt something ! :) I think En En didn't do that at 8-half-months! :) Oh...yes, and our dear little one has 4 teeth now! Bite bite bite!!! :P

我要去shopping了

We brought En en out to purchase a carpet this afternoon. Left the boy with my mum-in-law for a few hours. En en is a very typical 'lady' who is excited about shopping. Ever since we told her that we are going shopping, she kept on saying "我要去shopping了". Does she know what is shopping in the first place? :P
We left house at about 2pm, which is her nap time. So we told her to take a nap in the van. I think she was quite worried that she would not get to go shopping if she falls asleep. Initially, she refused to lie down on my lap, I could see her struggling to keep her eyes open. When she realised she would sleep, she repeatedly reminded me to wake her up. She said "要起来先。要起来先。" (Interpretation: I am going to fall asleep, please wake me up before you go shopping)

Teacher Reyanne

Last night, Reyanne decided to conduct Maths lesson for her daddy. Pointing to a number book I bought for her, she said, "jiang (say) four". Being an obedient student, her daddy did as he was told. Reyanne was a teacher with very encouraging words, every time her daddy said the correct word, she would clap her hands very enthusiastically and praised her daddy, "VERY GOOD!" This reminded me that some time ago, after I picked her from her school, we had to walk past a wall with painted animals (her school). She pointed to the animals and said to me,"Say ostrich...say giraffe... say elephant". Being a co-operative student, I also did as I was told. Now...I am starting to wonder, will she follow my footsteps in future?

Bedtime Stories

Reyanne always wants me to lie down beside her at night. I can only go off when she falls asleep. As usual, while we lie on bed, she will babble a lot, sometimes I would ask her about school, sometimes I would sing her songs. The night before, she suddenly sang this song which she learnt in school. It's so cute. She covered both her eyes and started singing "Where is En En? Where is En En?" (Do-Re-Mi-Do Do-Re-Mi-Do...forgot the title of that children's song), after this phrase, she pointed to her own cheeks and sang "Zai Zhe Bian Zai Zhe Bian". As she didn't know the lyrics of the 3rd phrase, she just mumbled "xcvxfsdfsdf En En...Ding Dong Bell Ding Dong Bell". Haha, this is the 1st time she sang a WHOLE song on her own. Then she would change the lyrics to "Where is Mummy? Where is Mummy?" and pointed to my cheeks and continued "Zai Zhe Bian Zai Zhe Bian".... I had a good time laughing at her cute acts.

Happy!

Ok, I got the pictures up. Actually, I have uploaded more pictures in Facebook, but I thought it would be nice to have a blog specially for them. Wanted to sign up long ago, but then I was too occupied with work and stuff. Welcome you, my friends, to post your messages here.

My 1st Entry

This is my very first entry to this blog created a few seconds ago. It is the September school holidays, that's why I am so 'free'. First of all, I should try to browse around and see how to attach pictures. That's the main purpose of this blog. To put up photos and videos of my two little ones. For friends who have not kept in touch with me for a long time, I have 2 kids now. Yes, 2! (no more...even with the 4-months maternity leave and more baby bonus..) Reyanne is now 2 years 3 months old, she is attending Childcare at Carpe Diem. Her younger brother who is now 7 and half months old, is quite a handful. But then, as he grows older and hopefully less active (fat hope right), I can have an easier time at night.
