Last night, the boy kept coming out of the room when he was supposed to sleep.
1st excuse : Thirsty - gave him water
2nd excuse : Cold - cover the 2 with one blanket
3rd excuse : Blanket is messy - (cos they wriggle here and there), so each got his/her own blanket
4th excuse : The bolster became SMALLER ! ( dunno to laugh or to get angry!)

Didi woke up at around half past 9. He asked me to take the book we read last night. I pulled myself out of bed to take the book for him. It was a relatively new book, so I placed it on the higher shelf. They liked the book because it has funny pictures. He could not read the words, but he liked to see the pictures. After flipping through the book, he went to the next room and brought his favourite box over. His box of toy cars / toy planes. How I wish he could just stick to the book longer!
Just woke up... ;p
And went back to laze, hugging mummy... :)
I just love to be hugged and clinged on to by my kids. Which mummy doesn't ? Right? :)

Boy's appetite was good. He finished the burger ( beef patty, lettuce and cheese) which is the same size as Papa's. He even drank his small bowl of mushroom soup, together with top layer of the burger.
The girl ate a chocolate ball for her breakfast, so she could not finish her burger. Only ate one layer of bread with the ham and lettuce. But I made her finish her mushroom soup.

Eating apples after their dinner today. :)
I just bathed the boy (2nd time after he came back from school). He was sooooo sweaty even after he had bathed at Granny's house at about 7p.m. It just doesn't feel right to let him go to bed with all that sweat. The kids are lying on the bed, getting ready to sleep. Having to wake the girl up in the morning to get ready for piano lesson can be challenging at times.
Tomorrow's plan will be to go Papa's office again, where I will do my work (hopefully without dozing off... and got my sleeping-pose taken by Papa sneakily just to laugh at me).
Last week, we also went to Papa's office. We had a good lunch (cheap too) at a hawker centre. The kids got to enjoy local food - Chai Tow Kuay. Papa's craving for Char Kuay Tiao was satisfied, coupled with his usual combo - Pineapple drink. I ate CKT too, after putting my guilt away, and worriedly stood on the weighing scale at night.

Holiday
Today, we all woke up very very late. Papa woke up the earliest. Ryan woke up around 9 plus. Mummy woke up at 10 am but laze on bed for 15 minutes :P En en slept till almost 11 a.m. !!! :O
We all slept very late last night... because it was a holiday, papa allowed them to sleep late.. (I admit it was really too late... they slept at 2 plus last night)
Today, we brought them out for a treat at MacDonalds. Ryan's appetite was good. He finished his cheeseburger in his Happy Meal, ate 4 nuggets, and fries. He finished at least half of my Jasmine Green Tea on top of his own Ribena. In between that, he took a bite from Papa's Big Mac and a few mouths from my Mac Wings. Yeah.. plus that big bowl of rice for dinner, I could see his tummy slowly bulging... haha. :P
If only En could eat as much. She ate 4 nuggets, fries and her Ribena. She took a few sips of my green tea too. :P
While I was selecting a new frame for my spectacles, they played around in the shop with their new toy from Happy Meal. :)
After lunch, we visited our neighbour who had been their personal hairdresser since they were born.
Got to cut away a few inches of En's hair. It had been touching her waist! When I asked Aunty to cut shorter, she got a bit worried and asked me not to cut too short. Girls are girls.... vain pot. :p
Ryan had no issue with his hair. Just need to keep him STILL throughout the session. Luckily, as he grows older, he is able to behave better while sitting on that highchair. Hopefully I don't need to keep telling him not to move.
After their haircut, they requested to have water play. Ok, since it is a holiday. But I made them promise to do my work after playing.
En en managed to do 4 pages (I wanted her to do 8, but we needed to leave the house, so she had to do them when we came back). Ryan tried to bargain. He said , "Later (then do)." Sigh... luckily Mummy is firm enough to make him sit down and he did 3 pages (he promised 4 though).
I told them, they have to finish whatever is not done after we come back from dinner.
We went to Nai Nai's house earlier to let them have some fun. We bought Milo cake and Blueberry cheesecake as desserts for the kids ( actually Papa planned to have it for tea break, but it was too late... :P ) Papa was targeting the Ribena cake and Grape-flavoured cake initially. I bet he would want to get them in one or two week's time.
When they came home, bad mummy chased them into the room to complete the work before they sleep. :p They did not take any nap today, so when I came out from the bathroom, the two kiddos are fast asleep.
That's why I have time to finish my Music Rubrics and feedback on my supervisors, and now to post an entry before I go to bed!
School reopens tomorrow..... yawn*

Hari Raya Holiday
The kids are asleep in the living room because they were with me. I was doing my work outside in the living room and watching the TV. Papa finished the show and went in to sleep. I guessed he took the only mattress with bedsheet (there were 3 mattresses on the floor, the maid came this morning, and removed all bedsheets for washing, Ryan wanted to sleep earlier, so I pulled out only one bedsheet and thought he would obediently rest...ya, so I thought.. in the end he was playing with his cars.)
En en was bored after doing her homework (not very willingly). As I said, recently, she was not very happy to be asked to do homework. I tried to praise her when she completed. However, today, I sent her into the room alone to complete because I did not want her to watch TV at the same time.
As for Ryan, he was busy playing with his trains, his 'long-lost' train - not lost actually, but kept in a box where he could not have access easily, so had not been playing for quite some time. I was packing one area in the room when he saw his toys in the box. So he quickly asked me to take them out for him. - sigh
I could only blog here at quiet times like this. When they are all awake and active in the house, I can't really type much. Maybe I wanted some privacy too! Haha... yeah, otherwise En en may come here and kaypoh. She may be able to read what I am typing.
I am planning to take photo of En en's drawing and keep the softcopies. As the hardcopies may get spoilt in future, I thought at least I kept softcopies! :) She really loves drawing. She is drawing whenever she has nothing to do. I can say her drawing has been improving. =) She likes to draw everyone looking like princess. Ha! Sometimes, she draws her friends. Without fail I will see "R N A" above her friends - which means Reyanne, Natacia and Ariel (her best friends in childcare). This is going to be their last year together. I am sure she will miss them when they go to different primary schools next year. Kind of sad to think about it.
Recently, we have been having cough and flu. Therefore, I learnt to cook more Liang Cha, like my mother-in-law. Yesterday, I went to buy more stuff but from another Medical Hall, they introduced Shi Hu石斛to add into my chrysanthemum tea. The usual things I add are Luo Han Guo and Guo Qi. The salesperson said this Shi Hu is good for eyes, kidney, especially for people who stare at monitor whole day long or stay up late. Just the thing for Roy. So I bought 4 bottles - buy 3 get 1 free. :p But 1 bottle for my mum, 1 bottle for my mother-in-law. Good that the kids also like the Liang Cha I cook.
Cooking porridge while typing this. Hee...
This afternoon, my Malay neighours gave us some Briyani rice and chicken. So nice of them! But I wonder what I can give them in return...

It is already mid August !
Once school term starts, I become so busy again ?
Recently, Ryan's appetite has become very good. He can finish 1 and a half or even 2 bowls of rice, in addition to soup/fruit. Few nights ago, he ate 3 and a half kiwi after dinner. I was half amazed and yet half worried that he might vomit !! (His tummy was BIG!!)
En has slightly improved, but still a slow eater. Recently, her teeth are loose again, so she ate very very..s. l. o. w. l. y. *sigh*
She is going to be in Primary One next year, how will she ever finish her food during recess??
Yeah, she is going to be 7 next year ! Gosh, I feel old!
Ok, can't type too much now, need to revise cards with the little one who cannot sit still. He will give me all sorts of excuses - drink water, go toilet, getting tired, want to sleep. Wonder who he takes after !!
