Been so long....

It has been so long since I had my last entry.

Maybe I didn't know what to write about now... everyday is the 'same routine'.
I am in the morning session (we went single session this year), so I have to wake up very early. Same for the two kids, I have to wake them up at 5.45...latest 6.15am, and get them ready for school. Luckily the teacher always arrives slightly before 7am, I can put them there and leave for work.

I feel bad, to make them wake up so early. But I feel worse if I leave for work alone, knowing that they will look for mummy, and cry when they don't find me. Daddy will be annoyed and scold them.

Moreover, I have to get En En ready for primary school next year. She has to get used to it.
Sometimes, I resort to carrying them straight to the toilet bowl even when they are not fully awake. It saves a bit more time. ;p

Most of the time, they are alright when I leave for work. Ryan gets to play with the toys or watch tv in school. En en's best friend will arrive very soon as well (because her best friend's mummy is also a teacher teaching in the morning session).

We will fetch her either at 5.30pm or 6.30pm, and have dinner. We have changed our schedule this year. We will only go over to my mother-in-law's place for dinner on Mondays and Fridays. We find that we can settle dinner and get them ready for bed earlier when we eat at home. I get to start marking earlier or I may even have time to do some work with them.

I am sending Ryan for Phonics class in his school. I hope he will start learning. I really don't know how he is taking it. His teacher said he's slightly better than last year. But still has short attention span. He will be interested in new things. Repeated work / story book does not capture his interest.

As for Reyanne, she starts to have Spelling and Ting Xie. Every Tuesday is Spelling. Every Friday is Ting Xie. I hope she will take on more initiative to prepare for these herself. Daddy asked me to make use of this to train her to be more independent. I can't help but remind her to learn. She practises writing the words in school, but only a few times. Well... it is never too much to get her to practise a few more times. But I will not test her, just remind her to revise, or write the words in her exercise book.

She is going to be P1 next year. I am really afraid I don't have time to guide her then. Therefore, I am seriously considering to take up more music periods. In order to do this, I have to first go through 2 courses, exams, practicals, interview and assessments. OMG! Can I still cope with practical exam / interviews now ?

Reyanne is still comtinuing her music lesson in Yamaha. Her teacher is very good and I will not want to change her to another class just because it is difficult to wake her up in the morning. But I think it is easier to get her ready since she wakes up around 6am every day. I hope she will cultivate this area of interest and have the perseverance to carry on. I wish I did not stop my piano. I don't have a piano at home now to practise, not that I have a lot of free time. But I felt that something has been missing for so long, I want to be able to play piano as good as before, as much as I can, as often as I want. It seems that it is a dream that's so hard to fulfil. Perhaps, unknowingly, I pinned my hope and dreams on En En, to see her play the piano and loving it.

Ok...I am not going to get too emo and start babbling about other things. I hope I will come here and post more entries more frequently. :)
