Reyanne's Modelling Day

I am one who doesn't mind second-hand clothes for my kids. Thanks to my mother-in-law's good friends, who have grand-daughters who have grown up, I always receive bags of clothes for En en. That night, my mother-in-law asked En en to try a few dresses and some traditional 'Du Dou'. (those things that women wore underneath their clothes in the past) She looked quite cute..haha. She wasn't that willing to put them on initially. Then, came the food-as-reward strategy of my mother-in-law... *sigh* So, there she was , in her 'new' clothes.

Among the bag of clothes, was a pretty pink dress which was too small for En en. I thought it would be fun to let the boy wear it. Haha...yes, the little kid in pink dress is none other than my boy, Ryan. :P

Happy 1st Birthday, my boy!

It seems to be a long time since I last updated. School has reopened, so I was too cropped up with school work.

We celebrated Ryan's birthday twice. Once on 17th, with Ye Ye and Nai Nai, once on 18th with Gong Gong and Po Po. Both cakes were delicious. :)
Luckily there was no one 'disturbing' our celebrations.

Ryan looked really happy on his actual birthday, 18th Jan. Reyanne Jiejie on the hand, didn't seem too happy. :p But she still enjoyed the cakes. Hahaha.

Meanwhile, we were also busy rearranging furniture at home. I like the new look! But I have yet to finish tidying 2 more rooms. Because of the rearrangement, we managed to clean up (75% of) the house for Chinese New Year! I think that's a great start. :p

Now, we have shifted our computer to the living room, to free up that 'ex-computer-room' either for one of the kids' room in future, or as an entertainment room. (daddy's idea one fine day). I think it is a good idea, because we can still be working while watching over the kids (say...when Ryan can really sit on his own and not disturb). And I can do work on my computer and still be able to watch my drama series at the same time.

The coffee table was pushed to a corner, still haven't decided whether to throw or keep, to allow bigger room for kids. I do not need to live in fear that one day the boy will suddenly knock against the table edge while climbing up and down. Old carpet was replaced as well. Warm and cosy, no more food-stain.

Yes, our 4 and a half bookshelves played a big role in this 'new outlook'. They allowed Roy and I to put our books, files, boxes and whatever-not. Initially we didn't buy the bookshelf doors, but realised they collect dust so easily even with shut windows. Thanks to Ikea, which sells things separately, we bought 2 doors to cover up, in order not to tire out poor mummy. However, the doors are not fixed yet. I wonder if the doors will end up like that mirrors we bought 5 years ago, bought but kept in store room and never get to see sunlight!

Oops, I think I was too carried away with the new furniture of the house. This is supposed to be children-related blog! But then, it is also the house of the children right... Kekeke... :P

That's all for now. Will upload some new pictures asap. :P
